| Spotted Pardalote male Highfields Falls, Queensland, Australia August 2015 |
Kevin Williams and I were enjoying a stroll through Highfields Falls one August morning when we were confronted by this male Spotted Pardalote. He landed in a young gum directly in front of us and ensured eye contact while giving us some soft tweets. Kevin and I didn't really know what to say back to him but I took 111 frames. He was so tiny and it was really challenging not to get shadows across his face.
He was a pleasant fellow to meet along the track. I'm sure he is busy with a young family now.
